Web Host 1&1 Internet Offers Free MyWebsite Plans to War Veterans

1&1 Internet has launched its 1&1 Internet has launched its "1&1 Veteran Appreciation Program" in support of all United States' troops.

With Veterans Day just around the corner, web hosting provider 1&1 Internet announced on Wednesday it has launched its ?1&1 Veteran Appreciation Program? in a new campaign in support of all United States? troops.

The move comes a week after 1&1 launched a free suite of applications that are designed to be used within the company?s MyWebsite plan.

In the press release, 1&1 says it is the ?first campaign of its kind in the web hosting industry,? providing veteran small business owners with a 1&1 MyWebsite Plus package, completely free of charge, for six months.

The company has been heavily promoting its website builder 1&1 MyWebsite plans via a television advertising campaign.

The inclusive website plan gives entrepreneurs a fully-featured solution to quickly launch an online presence without any technical knowledge or software.

?While in service, military men and women risk their lives for their country every day,? said Oliver Mauss, CEO of 1 &1 Internet. ?Therefore, we would like to show our appreciation by offering assistance to them to achieve their new career goals. By providing US veterans a foundation for creating and growing their own business using the Internet, they will be better positioned to conquer the business world.?

The website builder-centered hosting plan offers a range of features, including sector specific images and text, mobile and social media optimization, and a website builder, and web marketing services.

Veterans can now register for the 1 &1 MyWebsite Plus plan at veteran.mywebsite.com where they will be asked to provide the accepted forms of military identification when they order the service.

The promotional offer is only available for new 1&1 customers. After the initial free 6 month period, customers will then be charged at $19.99 per month.

Earlier this month, 1&1 Internet rolled out its new SEO Spotlight tool to provide a cost-effective way for SMBs to increase their rankings within Google and other top search engines.
